Rheinmetall AG · Defense
Manufacturer of flight simulators (EASA/FAA-certified), aviation. Digital pilot training with content and user information that has to be managed securely and delivered reliably to a growing number of users.
Progress tracking, authentication and access to training materials had to work securely and seamlessly — with the highest requirements for security and scalability, and a platform fit to be presented to trade-fair visitors and new customers.
A cloud-based training platform for digital pilot training with secure progress tracking, reliable authentication and seamless access to training materials — carried by a stable, high-performance server back-end architecture (C++/Qt, Python, Redis, MQTT) with a web front-end.
Build the server back-end as an independent, scalable architecture — not as an appendix to the training UI. That allowed the platform to adapt flexibly to growing user numbers and secured ongoing operation — and the team could be expanded for parallel work without touching the training content itself.
1 technical lead, 3 back-end developers, 2 front-end developers — over 2 years.
